A DECADE OF DAY OF SHECURITY
Ten years of women showing up, speaking up, and changing what cybersecurity looks like.
Three cybersecurity professionals at Lookout looked around and knew something had to change. Six months later, 25 women walked into a room in San Francisco for the very first S{h}ecurity Bootcamp.
S{h}ecurity Bootcamp was just supposed to be one day. The team at Lookout saw more. They brought in Secure Diversity to take it bigger, and Day of Shecurity was born.
Three conferences in a single year, because the community kept showing up.
After a year away, Day of Shecurity came back, and went global. Over 1,000 women joined virtually from across the world, proving the mission was never really about a room. It was about the people in it.
Secure Diversity took the mission beyond a single day, sponsoring a small cohort of DOS attendees through a leadership certification program and deepening the focus on women in cybersecurity leadership.

DOS saw a gap in learning opportunities for mid- and senior-level women in cybersecurity. So they shifted focus, becoming a free leadership summit built for women ready to move up.
